Lil Win Laments Media Silence on His Ibrahim Traoré-Inspired Movie After Sunyani Premiere
Ghanaian actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has expressed disappointment over what he describes as a lack of media attention for his latest movie inspired by Burkina Faso’s leader, Ibrahim Traoré.
According to Lil Win, despite the movie’s successful premiere in Sunyani, no major media outlet has picked up the story or offered him coverage. He believes the silence is unfair, given the effort and resources invested in producing the film.
The Kumawood star revealed that the project was aimed at promoting African leadership stories and inspiring the youth. However, he feels disheartened that the Ghanaian media has not acknowledged the importance of his work.
Lil Win further urged the media to support local creatives, stressing that consistent neglect discourages filmmakers who dedicate themselves to producing content that reflects African realities.
The actor’s fans have since taken to social media to rally behind him, praising his resilience and calling on entertainment platforms to give the movie the recognition it deserves.
