The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally referred its Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, to the party’s National Disciplinary Committee over alleged misconduct.
In a petition dated Tuesday, September 30, 2025, and signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party outlined several allegations, describing Abronye DC’s actions as unbecoming of a senior member and damaging to the unity and integrity of the NPP.
Among the issues raised were alleged defamatory remarks against Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, false claims that the General Secretary deliberately concealed a report recommending Mr. Agyapong’s expulsion, and misrepresentation of findings from the party’s disciplinary committee.
The petition stressed the need for a full inquiry into the matter and the application of appropriate sanctions if necessary. According to the party leadership, accountability and discipline remain central to safeguarding the NPP’s credibility, internal cohesion, and democratic values.

This development has sparked discussions within party circles, with many viewing the referral as a critical test of the NPP’s ability to enforce discipline across all levels of leadership.
