As preparations intensify for the by-election in the Akwatia Constituency, the AcrossFaiths Foundation has appealed to all stakeholders to ensure the process is conducted in an atmosphere of peace, transparency, and respect for democratic values.
In a statement signed by Rev. Ben Kusi, Founder of AcrossFaiths Foundation, the organization stressed the need for tolerance, professionalism, and mutual respect throughout the electoral process.
“A Test of Our Democracy”
Rev. Kusi described the by-election as a critical moment in Ghana’s democratic journey, urging political actors, security agencies, the media, and voters to prioritize national unity above partisan interests.
“As we approach this critical moment in our democratic journey, I implore all citizens, political actors, electoral officers, security personnel, media, and stakeholders to embrace the virtues of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect throughout the electoral process. Let us work together to ensure that the by-election is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner, upholding the integrity of our democracy,” he stated.
