New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged party delegates to put aside any personal grievances they may have with members of his campaign team and focus on the larger goal of strengthening the party ahead of the 2026 elections.
Speaking during his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region ahead of the January 31, 2026, presidential primaries, Dr. Bawumia reminded delegates that he alone would appear on the ballot, emphasizing that their decisions should be based on his vision and leadership, not the conduct of his team.
“I want all of you to know that I’m the one on the ballot paper. Maybe someone on my campaign team has annoyed you, but please don’t let your issues with that person affect your decision. I have no problem with you,” he said.
The Vice President urged delegates to prioritize party unity and long-term progress over temporary misunderstandings, noting that his administration would continue to serve their interests and advance the NPP’s development agenda.
“Don’t make someone’s actions become a burden on me. When you vote for me, I will come and help you. Please vote for me, I have no issues with anyone,” he appealed.
Dr. Bawumia’s message comes as internal campaigns intensify across the country, with aspirants seeking to secure the support of delegates ahead of the party’s crucial flagbearer election.
