Fifteen passengers are lucky to be alive after a minibus somersaulted multiple times at Asikyire Nkwanta in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.
The accident occurred when the rear tyre of the Nissan Urvan minibus, registration number AS 6391-22, burst while in motion. The loud explosion startled passengers, and before the driver could regain control, the vehicle veered off the highway and rolled several times into a ditch.
Eyewitnesses described chaotic scenes as the mangled bus trapped its terrified occupants, who screamed for help. Passersby quickly rushed to the spot and managed to pull survivors from the wreckage.

Although all 15 passengers escaped with their lives, eight sustained serious injuries, including broken bones and deep cuts. Emergency responders later arrived, and the victims were transported by ambulance to the Divine Love Hospital in Bibiani, where they are receiving treatment.
Police have launched investigations into the crash, which left the vehicle completely wrecked.
