Kennedy Agyapong Officially Declares Bid for NPP’s 2028 Presidential Primaries
Accra, Ghana – July 29, 2025 – Former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has publicly confirmed his intention to participate in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries, which will determine the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
A Bold Declaration: Unity and Vision for NPP’s Future
At the launch of nominations on July 29, 2025, Kennedy Agyapong issued a press statement affirming his intention to contest the NPP’s presidential primaries. “Now that nominations have been opened, I will be contesting for the New Patriotic Party’s 2028 Presidential Primaries,” he said, expressing appreciation for widespread support from across demographics—including delegates, MPs, and professionals nationwide.
Rallying a Shared Mission
Agyapong framed his candidacy not as an individual ambition, but a unified mission to rebuild public trust and strengthen national cohesion:
“Together, we will build a Ghana where every citizen has a fair shot at success. I am ready to listen to you and to lead with integrity and purpose,” he affirmed.
Building on Grassroots Support and Partnerships
The declaration also coincided with a tribute to his Communications Director & Kencity Group GM, Lawyer Kwaku Amoh‑Darteh, whom he publicly thanked for committed service. Several MPs and party stalwarts were present at the announcement.
