M.anifest’s ‘Flow’ Comment Sparks Fresh Clash with Sarkodie’s Fans
Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has reignited debate online after a recent reflection on the concept of “flow” in Ghanaian rap stirred a wave of backlash from Sarkodie’s fan base, SarkNation.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on 26 August 2025, M.anifest shared:
“It took me a couple of years to realise when they talk about flow in these parts, they mean how fast you rhyme lmao.”

Though he didn’t mention anyone by name, many on social media interpreted the remark as a veiled jab at Sarkodie.
One fan defended Sarkodie’s mastery, arguing:
“Bro, Sarkodie does it effortlessly… You just don’t want to admit it.”

Another supporter accused M.anifest of overestimating his lyrical prowess because of his English-heavy style:
“This guy… makes him think he’s in the same league as Sark. Delusion of grandeur dey worry you.”

This flare-up revives memories of their past rivalry, notably their lyrical showdown between “god MC” and “Kanta”, which once dominated Ghana’s rap scene.
