The Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation has announced that it has reached an agreement with pay-TV operator MultiChoice Ghana to reduce the prices of DStv bouquets by between 33% and 50%.

The move follows weeks of negotiations between government and MultiChoice aimed at easing the financial burden on subscribers amid rising costs of living.
Under the new arrangement, customers will enjoy significant reductions across all DStv packages, with details of the revised pricing structure expected to be published in the coming days.
The Ministry said the intervention is part of broader efforts to make digital television services more affordable and accessible to the average Ghanaian household.
MultiChoice Ghana, operators of DStv and GOtv, also confirmed the price cuts, assuring subscribers of continued investment in quality content and improved service delivery.
Officials expect the reductions to take effect immediately, bringing relief to thousands of households nationwide who rely on DStv for entertainment, news, and sports.
