Mr Beautiful Appointed to Creative Arts Agency Board, Swears Oath of Office
Ghanaian actor and comedian Mr Beautiful, known in real life as Clement Bonney, has officially been appointed as a member of the Creative Arts Agency Board, taking a significant step into arts administration and policy-making.
The celebrated entertainer was sworn in alongside other board members on Monday, August 5, 2025, in a ceremony that brought together stakeholders in Ghana’s creative industry. The appointment was made under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, with the aim of strengthening the country’s cultural and creative arts sector.
In his remarks, Mr Beautiful expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve, promising to bring his decades of experience in film and comedy to bear in advancing the interests of creatives across Ghana.
“This appointment is not just an honour, but a responsibility to give back to the industry that made me who I am. I’ll make sure the voices of the grassroots actors, filmmakers, and comedians are heard,” he said.
The Creative Arts Agency Board is tasked with developing and implementing policies to support the growth, promotion, and sustainability of Ghana’s vibrant creative economy. With members drawn from diverse fields, the board aims to shape the future of the arts in Ghana through funding, training, and collaboration.
Mr Beautiful’s inclusion is expected to inject new energy and insight, especially in areas related to film production, youth engagement, and media innovation.
