Mr Drew Claps Back at DopeNation: ‘Stop the Lies About My Music’
Award‑winning singer Mr Drew (Andrew Nii Commey Otoo) has publicly challenged Ghanaian music duo DopeNation, rejecting their recent claims about contributing to the songwriting of his hit track “This Year”—a controversy he describes as both disrespectful and unnecessary.
DopeNation’s Claim: “We Co-Wrote ‘This Year’”
In an appearance on Headless YouTuber’s show, twin artists B2 and Twist of DopeNation alleged that they helped write and produce “This Year”, but received no official recognition. They described how Mr Drew arrived at the studio with only “scribbled lyrics and no clear structure,” claiming that DopeNation guided him through the entire recording process to shape it into a completed song MyJoyOnlineAdomonline.com.
