Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Education Minister and a New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, received a strong show of support from former party executives in the Ashanti Region on Friday. The endorsement came as part of his “Hope Tour,” aimed at engaging delegates ahead of the party’s upcoming internal elections.
Addressing the gathering at the Mampong zone, Adutwum reiterated his commitment to a clean and respectful campaign. “I will not allow anyone on my team to insult or malign others. My focus is to share my vision with the delegates and appeal to their conscience,” he said.
Former executives expressed confidence in Adutwum’s leadership abilities, praising his integrity, dedication, and vision for the party. “You’ve proven you’re the best to lead our party to victory,” one delegate remarked, echoing the sentiments of many attendees.
Adutwum emphasized the importance of unity and warned against superficial gestures of reconciliation. “After the contest, we must work together in unity—not by setting up reconciliation committees after the damage is done, but by running a clean and respectful campaign from the start,” he said.
The aspirant dismissed attempts to tarnish his reputation, vowing that his campaign would remain free, fair, transparent, and focused on ideas rather than personal attacks.
With backing from influential party figures in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Adutwum’s Hope Tour gains momentum as he seeks to rally support among delegates nationwide.
