On August 1, 2025, around 1:20 a.m., police from the Bono East Regional Intelligence Directorate responded to credible intelligence about a robbery in progress.
Officers intercepted a group of suspects attempting to flee by scaling a wall. One suspect, identified as Seidu Bukari, was shot during the confrontation and subsequently died at a hospital. He was linked to a gang involved in stealing motorbikes in Techiman and transporting them to Kumasi for resale.
