Wa, Ghana – The Ghana Police Service in the Upper West Region has launched a full-scale investigation into the suspected murder of a night security guard.
The deceased, identified as 55-year-old Yahaya Issah, popularly known as “Soja,” was found dead in the early hours of Sunday along the Wa-Dori stretch near the new market. His body bore visible head and facial injuries, with bloodstains indicating possible foul play.
In a statement, Deputy Regional Police Commander ACP Peter Kamasa confirmed that a police team had been deployed to collect evidence from the scene.
Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to support the investigation. They also reassured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining peace in the area.
