Three people are battling for their lives after a head-on collision at Gomoa Mampong on the Kasoa–Winneba Highway in the early hours of Thursday, October 2, 2025.
The accident involved a Kia truck with registration number GN-5315-13, traveling from Apam towards Accra, and a private car with registration number GR-5934-15, heading from Winneba in the same direction.
Eyewitnesses told Adom News that the crash occurred when the private vehicle attempted a wrongful overtaking, leading to a direct collision with the oncoming Kia truck.
The victims, who sustained severe injuries, were rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital, where they are receiving emergency treatment.
Police say investigations have commenced to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
